DJ Critical Hype is a Toronto-based DJ and producer known for turning “what if” hip-hop dreams into fully realized experiences. His mash-ups/blend tapes spotlight artists like Kendrick Lamar, Tyler, The Creator, J. Cole, 2Pac, Nipsey Hussle, André 3000, and Wu-Tang Clan, surpassing 85 million streams and becoming go-to soundtracks for rap fans and DJs worldwide. 

From projects like The DAMN. Chronic, In Search Of… COLE, Wu-Chainz: 36 Trap Houses, and ANDRE, he’s built a reputation for pairing iconic voices with timeless production.

In 2023 he was the only Canadian DJ invited to the Rock The Bells Cruise, performing alongside hip-hop legends such as Lil Jon, Big Boi, DJ Jazzy Jeff and Just Blaze to name a few, and in 2025, he contributed production credits to the latest Big L album (Mass Appeal Records: Legend Has It Series).

His work has earned public co-signs from major artists and tastemakers including Tyler, The Creator, 2 Chainz, Wu-Tang Clan, 9th Wonder, and the Dreamville record label, further solidifying his reputation as a respected creative force in hip-hop culture.
